Meet the people who serve Jamestown Seventh-day Adventist Church and help support its ministry.

Pastor Nate Skaife

Nate Skaife

Pastor

Pastor Nate was born and raised in southern Wisconsin. Before he heard God’s call to full-time ministry, he worked as a custom home builder. After completing his bachelor’s degree in Theology from Andrews University in 2011, he accepted a position in full-time ministry in Milwaukee, WI. While pastoring, he continued his education, completing a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry. He served multiple churches in the Milwaukee area and Grand Junction, Colorado before the Lord opened the opportunity for him to move to North Dakota to serve as the pastor of the Jamestown Seventh-day Adventist Church in the summer of 2023. Outside of enjoying life with his wife, Rachel, and their two daughters, Nate’s interests include scuba diving, hiking, fishing, and other outdoor pursuits.

Dan Hanson, head elder

Dan Hanson

Head Elder

Dan was born and raised in western North Dakota in the small town of Stanley. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and attended radio school. He then spent three and a half years serving at a naval communications station about 30 miles outside Athens, Greece. After returning home, Dan began a career as an over-the-road truck driver that lasted nearly 48 years.

Dan and his wife, Diana, have four daughters, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. They have been members of the Jamestown Seventh-day Adventist Church for 47 years. Dan has served as Head Elder for about 14 years and is grateful for the opportunity to support and encourage his church family.

Josh Rittenbach, head deacon

Josh Rittenbach

Head Deacon

Josh currently serves as head deacon and has been a Sabbath School teacher for approximately 12 years. He is the father of four daughters and especially enjoys traveling with his girls, experiencing new places and things together. He studied psychology and pursued graduate studies in child development and family science before changing directions and beginning to farm in 2009.

At the heart of Josh’s faith is a desire to know Jesus more deeply and to better understand the gospel and what it means to find our identity in Christ. He is especially interested in how a growing, personal relationship with Jesus moves these truths beyond something we simply know or believe intellectually and into something that transforms how we see ourselves, relate to others, and live our everyday lives.

Lois Nenow, church treasurer

Lois Nenow

Treasurer

Lois Nenow served as a teacher for 33 years and has continued in the classroom as a substitute teacher. She also assists with her family’s business as its primary bookkeeper, bringing valuable experience to her role as church treasurer.

Family is especially important to Lois. She treasures spending time with her husband, four daughters, her sons-in-law, and her eleven grandchildren. She also enjoys reading, taking road trips, and gathering with friends.

The church has always been an important part of Lois’s life. In 2020, she was invited to become treasurer of the Jamestown Seventh-day Adventist Church following the retirement of the previous treasurer. What began as an opportunity to meet an important need has become a ministry she truly enjoys. Lois is grateful for the friendships, fellowship, and opportunities to serve that make her church family so special.

Lacey Peppersack, church clerk

Lacey Peppersack

Clerk

Lacey grew up in central North Dakota and was raised in the New Home Church in Sykeston, a place that will always be very special to her. After high school, she moved to Fargo and graduated from North Dakota State University. In 2021, after she and her husband welcomed their first daughter, they moved back to Jamestown, where they are now raising their two girls.

Lacey serves as the church clerk and works as a professional recruiter. She and her family enjoy boating, exploring new walking and biking trails, venturing out of town to find fun activities, and trying new restaurants. Lacey is also an avid audiobook listener and usually has one playing whenever she gets the chance.
